Position Summary:
Division-level role supporting the Chief Engineer by providing high-level administrative, operational, and strategic coordination to enhance efficiency and collaboration across engineering and business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Chief Engineer, including managing schedules, prioritizing initiatives, and ensuring seamless execution of critical tasks.
- Act as a liaison between engineering leadership and other divisions, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and ensuring alignment on strategic priorities.
- Oversee and refine business processes related to engineering operations, identifying opportunities for efficiency and optimization.
- Manage engineering documentation, executive reports, and strategic briefings, ensuring clarity and accuracy for decision-making.
- Support acquisition engineering efforts, leveraging technical knowledge to streamline communications and operational frameworks.
- Coordinate budgeting, resource planning, and project oversight, ensuring alignment with division-level objectives.
- Handle high-level executive functions, including communications, stakeholder engagement, and workflow prioritization.
- Research and analyze industry trends and internal data, providing insights to support engineering leadership in strategic planning.
Work Environment:
- Location: On-site, WPAFB OH
- Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
- Working Hours: Standard – Core hours 0900 - 1500
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an executive support or business operations role within an engineering-focused environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee complex engineering-related initiatives.
- Familiarity with technical terminology, engineering workflows, and acquisition processes.
- Proficiency in business management tools, workflow automation, and reporting software.
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Desired:
- Experience supporting senior engineering leaders or technical executives in a high-level business capacity.
- Understanding of industry regulations, compliance protocols, and engineering best practices.
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation within an engineering division.
- Experience utilizing business intelligence tools and process optimization software to improve operational efficiency.
- Exceptional problem-solving ability, critical thinking, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
