The Opportunity:
The Project Manager - Commercial will provide support to sustainment activities within IAPSO providing oversight of all commercial aspects of contracts and agreements. Specifically, they will participate in the fulfilment of all contract requirements, interface with internal business areas to ensure and assure contract compliance. Under general direction of the Commercial Director they will use their specialised knowledge and skills to solve complex and unique problems. The Commercial and Procurement Manager will be responsible for evaluating and managing project commercial risks, ensuring the project's finance, insurance, controls, estimating, compliance and procurement activities are in line with Commonwealth policy.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Have a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role.
- Possess a relevant recognised tertiary qualification in Business, Legal, Finance or similar, or demonstrate relevant professional experience.
- Experience in Defence and Commonwealth Government finance and contracting policy and practices.
- Experience in Defence procurement.
- Experience in financial planning, pricing, planning, billing procedures and contract administration.
- Experience with SAP is desirable.
- Experience with implementation of and compliance with export controls and the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain spreadsheet models.
- Experienced user of MS Office products.
- Currently holding a Defence NV1 security clearance is essential for this role.

As a Major Service Provider of the Australian Defence Force, an AGSVA security clearance will be required and compliance to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
