KBR is seeking a Principal Modeling/Simulation Engineer for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's deployment of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system, Sentinel. This position is located at Hill AFB, Utah and requires a Secret security clearance.
You will work with a highly skilled team providing critical feedback for the weapon system’s requirements. You will become a trusted mission partner to the innovative, digital engineering-driven Air Force organization that is responsible to design, build, test, transition, and sustain the world’s safest, most secure, and effective land-based nuclear deterrent, on-schedule.
In this role, you will provide technical advice to Government leaders and engineers. You will support requirements development, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation activities, and milestone preparation. You will participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering with 12+ years of Aerospace Engineering experience or master’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline with 10+ years of Aerospace Engineering experience.
- 6+ years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership.
- Familiarity with Cameo and other project languages.
- System level experience with defining projects and implementing integration actions.
- Experience with optimization of validation and verification activities that verify model inputs/outputs.
- Understanding relationship with Modeling, Simulation and Analysis.
- Current Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding and have experience working with the Minuteman III and/or Sentinel programs.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn the DOD acquisitions process as well as other relevant directives, policies, or instructions.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn the DOE 6X acquisition process as well as other relevant directives, policies, or instructions.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Stockpile to Target Sequence (STS) systems engineering, engage with and brief DOE and LPO senior leadership.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both writing and orally.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Basic Compensation: $120,000 - $204,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
