Job Summary
The Subcontracts Administrator plays a crucial role in managing all procurement and administrative activities related to subcontracting. The administrator will oversee the full range of procurement and subcontract management, from pre-award activities to closeout. Under general supervision, this role will require problem-solving skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to navigate both field and best practices in subcontract administration.
Roles and Responsibilities
Effectively manage the subcontracts lifecycle as associated with procurement activity.
Issue requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, and qualify suppliers.
Maintain accurate subcontract files in compliance with established procedures.
Utilize problem-solving skills and industry knowledge to steer best practices for the group.
Display expertise within the subcontracting focus and seek continuous improvement within both processes and individual skills.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
At least 2+ years of experience in subcontract administration or related procurement activities
Strong understanding of procurement processes, proposal evaluation, and subcontract management
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with government contracts and their compliance requirements
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with subcontractor claims resolution
Experience using procurement software or contract management systems
