Position Summary:

Technical Program Management Support to the ABMS Division in the form of acquisition program management and engineering lifecycle planning; development and optimization of division-wide processes; facilitation of Acquisition Oversight Boards (AOBs) and Engineering Oversight Boards (EOBs); collaboration with division leadership to align operations with strategic objectives; preparation of reports, briefings, and documentation to support decision-making; and coordination with external stakeholders to enhance program efficiency and ensure successful outcomes. In this role, the selected candidate will provide support in Air Force acquisition program management, engineering lifecycle planning, and the coordination of division operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in Air Force acquisition program management and engineering lifecycle planning.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize division-wide processes to support organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership, including the Senior Materiel Leader (SML), Deputy Division Chief, and Chief Engineer, to align division operations with strategic objectives.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of program management and engineering acquisition lifecycle activities.
  • Facilitate and coordinate Acquisition Oversight Boards (AOBs) and Engineering Oversight Boards (EOBs) across the ABMS portfolio.

If you’re excited about making a significant impact in the field of space defense and working on projects that matter, we encourage you to apply and join our team at KBR. Let's shape the future together.

KBR Benefits

KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule. We support career advancement through professional training and development.

I’m not sure that’s accurate, once the travel ban is lifted.

This person will be in support of the DAG and we are rarely asked to travel but I updated to give a broader scope

I think you want a technical PM to have a STEM degree.  Recommend you remove the business degree and change to read, “Bachelor’s degree in any engineering field with an emphasis on systems engineering, a STEM degree, or a related field”.

Updated, for clarity tho I will offer that ultimately this position needs to be primarily a PM, not an EN. This person will be setting up Acq Oversight Processes along with assisting ESET in standing up Eng Oversight Processes. They need to have an understanding of both but I do not want an engineer that cannot organize and manage milestone packages and knows how to coordinate and get along well with senior leadership. Engineers have a way of getting too far in the weeds for what the DAG needs. This person is not working for ESET, they are working for the DAG and will be assisting with other functions as needed in the PM department like building slides for GO lvl briefings and such.

Proficiency means hands on doing, as said above, a STEM degree is more likely to have hands-on knowledge of systems engineering practices.

Changed this one and the one after but it deleted when I changed systems to system concepts.
