This is a contingent position based upon contract award
KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Chief Facility Engineer to join our team supporting a government client with locations in Washington Metropolitan Area.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Chief Engineer for facilities, you will lead and manage our facilities engineering team which is responsible for the maintenance of facilities, equipment, and machinery necessary to support our customer's daily operations.
You will lead this multi-disciplinary team of engineering and facility management professionals and be responsible for planning, directing, and managing all phases of equipment, electrical, mechanical, and building systems maintenance, facilities modification and building projects from design through implementation.
You will interact with the government customer, your team members, and contractors executing facilities projects.
Required Qualifications:
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI
10 years experience with large, complex requirements of similar scope of experience
Currently licensed as a Professional Engineer in one of the 50 US States, US Territories or Possessions, strong understanding of building design and construction, and knowledge of MD, VA, and Federal Codes.
Proven experience managing a facilities engineering team.
Experience in managing maintenance operations and construction/renovation projects
Experience working with customers to help plan and implement capital improvement projects.
Expert knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and their associated maintenance and operations.
Experience with state-of-the-art building management practices
Experience in the operation, replacement, and repair of chillers, power generators, pumps, motors, air handlers, HVAC units, and UPS systems
Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team to include engineers, CAD technicians, maintenance workers, and others.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent
