The Opportunity:

KBR is seeking an experienced Cost Modeller to join our dynamic Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance integrated work package in support of exciting defence projects for the Commonwealth of Australia.

As a Cost Modeller, you will be responsible for undertaking qualitative and quantitative analysis of a range of data sources on capability acquisition and sustainment activities in the GWEO Enterprise. You will support project governance and assurance activities and will directly contribute to routine program reporting.

This role is based in Canberra, ACT.

Responsibilities:

  • Synthesise information and extract strategic level briefing knowledge from analysis
  • Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Develop cost models for inputs to decision making processes, including government approaches
  • Maintain and adjust cost models through collaborative stakeholder engagement
  • Contribute to monthly governance and reporting
  • Identify and implement mitigation strategies to manage risks, issues and opportunities relating to governance of project objectives

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience
  • Experience in a CASG/Defence/Defence Industry environment
  • Previous experience with Defence cost modelling tools
  • Strong understanding of Defence systems (financial, budget, capability requirements, delivery plans)
  • Experience with analysis and reporting in a Defence context
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding an NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
