KBR is looking for a Director for Digital Solutions for Manufacturing Industry (O&M) who will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our digitally enabled O&M solutions within the energy industry, leveraging expertise in both manufacturing business processes and digital transformation of operating assets.

The candidate must be equally proficient or have relevant experience in IT as well as OT systems delivery/implementation in manufacturing industries like oil field, refinery, petrochemicals, chemicals, fertilizers, power, gas, pharmaceuticals, renewables, etc.

This role requires a leader who can seamlessly navigate complex internal interfaces across Product Service Lines (PSL), Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Legal, while also understanding and navigating client organizations to foster strong partnerships. The ideal candidate will have deep Oil & Gas domain knowledge combined with digital acumen to position tailored solutions and drive value for clients.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Business Growth:
    • Lead the development and execution of business development initiatives in MENA, focusing on generating new revenue streams, scaling existing digital offerings in O&G manufacturing business to meet the client needs and expanding market share within the energy industry.
    • Identify and capitalize on business opportunities through in-depth knowledge of market dynamics, regulatory landscape, and industry trends.
  • Sales and Market Positioning:
    • Develop and implement tailored sales and marketing strategies to position long-term and digitally enabled O&M solutions, such as AI/ML predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, turnaround programs, and reliability-centered maintenance.
    • Act as a subject matter expert in OT and IT strategy of manufacturing organizations, providing insights and guidance to the executive team on market positioning and competitive intelligence.
  • Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management:
    • Forge and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and potential clients, to foster collaboration and drive business growth.
    • Lead the process from opportunity identification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract award.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of sales and business development professionals, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
    • Collaborate across departments (PSL, Operations, Finance, Legal) to ensure alignment and efficiency in business development processes.
  • Digital Solutions for Manufacturing (O&M):
    • Safeguarding the integrity of our solutions (IP) whilst Champion the innovation and integration of digital tools such as Asset Performance Management (APM), AI-driven process analytics, predictive analytics, and real-time optimization to enhance operational efficiencies, energy savings, emission reduction etc.
    • Leverage human resource capabilities to deliver tailored digitally enabled O&M services that address client needs and add value.
  • Industry Representation and Visibility:
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility, build strategic partnerships, and identify potential business leads.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of asset management/operations experience, which must include at least seven (7) years of experience in Digital Solutions implementation across the Oil & Gas/Petro-Chem/Chemical industries.
  • Proven experience with a strong understanding of the energy industry's O&M sector, Industry 4.0 digital accelerators, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing P&L for a business line.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and running digitally enabled O&M solutions and services in both IT and OT space.
  • Strategic thinker with strong negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate across departments (PSL, Operations, Finance, Legal).
  • End to end solution development to execute digital vision for Process/Hybrid/Discrete Industry Customers.
  • Knowledgeable on Software offerings to customers including Cloud, AI, ML, AR/VR, Mobile technologies to address Engineering-Operate-Perform-sustain business needs.
  • Proficiency in digital & automation tools relevant to O&M solutions, such as APM, predictive analytics, operator training simulators, APC, DCS and remote performance monitoring
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the MENA region (approximately 50%)

Preferred Education & Skills:

  • MBA or an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
