- Personal information that you voluntarily submit to a Company employee for recruitment processing purposes and which is then entered into the Site.
The Personal Information We Collect
If you are interested in a job at the Company and you choose to create an account at our online application page on the Site, you will have the opportunity to complete an online application and to submit information to us. If alternatively you voluntarily submit information to a Company employee which is entered on to the Site, an online profile shall be created for you. The personal information we collect through the Site includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Identifiers: First and last name, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, Internet Protocol address, and signature.
• Characteristics of Protected Classifications: if you apply for a position you may choose to provide us with the following categories of information: your gender, race, nationality ethnic origin, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, and whether you are an individual with a disability. We will use this information only in the aggregate for diversity, equity and inclusion analytical purposes. This information will be stored anonymously and will not be used to evaluate your application for employment.
• Internet or Other Similar Network Activity: We may collect information regarding your interaction with our career site or your publicly available social media content.
• Professional or Employment-Related Information: We will collect your resume which may include information about your job history, educational history, language proficiency, professional licenses and/or certifications, references, and any other information you provide to us through a CV, résumé, or cover letter.

Except as described above, we will not request or otherwise collect information about your health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, or sexual orientation or your genetic information or biometric information through the on-line application or during the application process unless the law, as an exception, requires us to do so. As noted above, we, or a third-party background check company under our direction, may check criminal history records for information about convictions, but only if and to the extent permitted by applicable law.
How We Use Your Personal Information
We will use the information that we collect about you through the recruitment process to evaluate your application for employment and for related recruiting, reporting and recordkeeping purposes, such as to check references or to conduct pre-employment screening. In addition, if you are hired, the Company will maintain the information collected about you in the recruitment process for purposes of facilitating the administration of employment relationship.
If you are not hired for the position for which you initially apply, we may use the information that we collect about you through the recruiting process to evaluate your suitability for future job openings. Based on that evaluation, we may use your personal information to contact you to find out whether you are interested in applying for new job openings.
The Company’s employees involved in the evaluation of your application and, if you are hired, in the administration of your employment relationship with the Company will have access to your personal information on a need–to-know basis.

In addition, the processing of your personal data is necessary for the Company to pursue its legitimate interests in recruiting and hiring suitable personnel. If you choose not to provide requested information, the Company may not be able to consider you for employment.
We process your personal data under a number of legal grounds which apply depending on the reason for which we process this personal data and what type of data we process. Please note that in some circumstances if information is requested by us and you do not provide it, the Company may not be able to consider you for employment. When you provide us with your personal data in relation to an application for a role, we usually process this information on the basis that we are taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with you. Other legal grounds may also apply. We may use your personal data to satisfy KBR’s legal obligations, for instance, if your CV contains information we are required to collect to comply with applicable law, such as equality legislation. In other circumstances, we may process your personal data to pursue our legitimate interests, such as managing and developing our business by assessing your suitability for roles within the business and for our business to develop and improve its recruitment process. We may also pass your CV, or part of it, to third parties who we work or intend to work with to showcase our credentials and bid for work. We will minimize the CV data we share with these third parties to that which is reasonably necessary for these purposes. If you would like us not to share your CV data in this way, please contact us by email at privacy@jobalerts.kbr.com. We may also in limited circumstances process personal data regarding your health, ethnicity or criminal offences. We additionally process these types of personal data either for the purpose of fulfilling our employment obligations, or for the purpose of preventing fraud or protecting the public against dishonesty. Finally, we may process your personal data based on your consent (where we do not have another lawful basis for processing that data) – for example, if you voluntarily choose to provide us with personal data to be used anonymously for diversity, equality, and inclusion analytical purposes.
