Position Description:

We are currently seeking highly motivated and experienced Sr. Cost Control Analyst to join our team within KBR’s Defense & Technology Solutions Business Unit (DTS); a business unit within KBR Mission Technology Solutions, that combines mission expertise with advanced digital technologies to solve the world’s toughest challenges on a global scale. Sr. Specialist I, Project Controls responsibilities include but not limited to:

·         Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting cycle, to include experience in EAC, variance and trend analysis.

·         Support the development of program plans and estimates, establish contract baseline budgets, plan milestones and keep financial records for future audits.  

·         Review project costs incurred by category, estimate future costs based on history, labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract rates, wages rates and risk analysis.

·         Analyze program funding requirements; keep track of available funding, maintain financial control logs and provide accurate funding status to both internal and external customers.

·         Analyze and validate project costs and project performance status.

·         Responsible for Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) maintenance, and charge number control.

·         Reconcile weekly, monthly and cumulative costs and performance data.

·         Import/reconcile monthly budgets and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) forecasts.

·         Maintain and update T&M rate tables.

·         Perform complex accounting and analytical tasks, including transaction processing, account reconciliation and analysis, preparation and analysis of complex reports.

·         Oversee subcontractor expenditures, tracking costs & fees against budget.  Analyze subcontract cost trends based on actual burn rate and historical data for accurate subcontract monthly accruals.

·         Develop presentations and metrics for internal and external customers and maintain a high level of customer focus.

·         General knowledge of contract management procedures and government contracting processes.

·         Support process improvement initiatives.

·         Develop training materials, lead the process of training new employees and mentor junior analysts on the team.

·         Perform on-contract proposals by following approved pricing procedures, utilizing existing pricing template.

·         Perform all other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field and 5 years of applicable experience.

·         Proficient in Deltek accounting software (CostPoint, COGNOS/Business Intelligence)

·         Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, along with ability to handle conflicting priorities among work groups.

·         Capable of a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and high level of accountability.

·         Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex problems independently within a fixed period of time.

·         Cobra experience a plus.

·         Secret Clearance a plus but not required

Location:  Remote or Charleston, SC

Basic Compensation:

$94,050 - $141,075

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
