This is a contingent position based upon contract award
KBR is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team in the Northern Virginia area. The Technical Writer should have experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for equipment, systems, and procedures, especially federal standards, manuals, and publications.
Responsibilities:
Research, develop, and/or update content for printed standards, manuals, or documents using software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and/or Oxygen XML Editor
Prepare written documents following federal standard guidelines; coordinate layout and organization of documentation
Experience coordinating graphics development to prepare technical publication graphics and illustrations
Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style
Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports
Coordinates technical writing activities with internal and external customers
Minimum Qualifications:
At least Five (5) years of experience specific to technical writing
Bachelor’s Degree
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with intelligence analysis and intelligence products
Experience with preparation of technical documentation for IC systems and capabilities
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro
Experience with Oxygen XML
Clearance: TS/SCI w poly required
