The Compensation Coordinator in PARC (People Advice & Resource Centre) will support the payroll team by ensuring payroll operations run smoothly and follow best practices. The main goal is to help create a positive experience for both employees and the business.

Working closely with the PARC team and our onshore and offshore Finance teams, you will assist in compensation-related tasks for KBR UK entities. Your responsibilities will include helping with pre-payroll activities, maintaining employee records, triaging employee queries, and supporting the rollout of the new Workday Global payroll system.

Responsibilities

  • Support pre-payroll administrative tasks for pay cycles for multiple business units.
  • Assist with processing of leavers, including termination payments, holiday calculations, redundancies and settlement agreements.
  • Assist in calculating and processing family leave, overtime, bonuses, and all other ad-hoc pay adjustments.
  • Help coordinate the administration of UK employee benefits schemes
  • Provide support for global compensation and benefits projects.
  • Assist with reconciling and submitting monthly Charity reports, working alongside Finance and external partners.
  • Help identify and suggest process improvements to streamline payroll and benefits tasks.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, including PARC, Finance teams, business units and external vendors.
  • Support the Compensation & Benefits Manager and team with ad-hoc administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and data management in HR and payroll systems.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Some experience supporting payroll administration tasks.
  • Understanding of UK payroll processes and pay types.
  • Understanding of annual pay cycles; e.g. company-wide pay increases and bonus payments
  • Understanding of payroll processes for salary sacrifice schemes, including pension, cycle to work, season ticket loans, childcare vouchers and company vehicles (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., basic formulas, VLOOKUPs desirable).
  • Competence using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of UK employment law, GDPR, and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of security clearances and associated process (BPSS, SC, DV)
  • Previous experience in payroll, finance, or banking (desirable)
  • Experience working with HR systems like SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Workday (desirable, but not essential).
