Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Job Summary
Hygiene equipment mechanics install, operate, inspect, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, water purification equipment, water distribution systems, laundry and shower facilities and fumigation equipment. Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics. Performs other tasks as assigned.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs jobs involved in setting up and operating woodworking machines such as power saws, molders, planers, shapers, joiners, carver machines, wood lathes, surfacers, and universal woodworking machines to fabricate wood products. Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level woodworkers and assists higher level woodworkers. Performs other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Five years directly related work experience.
- Complete the Basic Combat Engineers Course or equivalent.
- Ability to use woodworking machines such as power saws, molders, planers, shapers, joiners, corner machines, wood lather, etc.
- Ability to study specifications and mark and cut boards using patterns, templates, rulers, pencil and hand, and power saws.
- Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
